The other day my Facebook status said, “So much to do. So little time. Don’t have time to breathe and totally loving it.” It’s true. I am so busy every moment of the day that I hardly realize it. I’m so pressed for time at times that I forget to ping someone, wear my watch, go out of cash and more. I am tying to make sure I do everything I need to but, sometimes I don’t. I get irritated that I can’t handle all the things that need my attention but I quickly come around to telling myself: “Go Girl, you can do it!” I’ve become a pro at ‘getting over’ stuff (more on that on a different post). And, I’m glad that life’s so full of things to do. So, I sat down with my pen and paper and collated all those things that are running in my mind. I’ve jotted them down and I’m going to make sure I go out and do it. For what’s life if you’re not living it? Here’s what I want to accomplish for myself…

I want to make firni the way my mom does. (It’s to die for. You won’t get such amazing firni even near Minara Masjid. I can bet my life on it.)

I want to wear a saree to work on a regular day. (I want to learn to drape it myself.)

I want new heels.

I want to stop looking at ‘Sale’ Ads in the newspaper/on hoarding/anywhere else.

I want to leave the city for some time and go away. Anywhere.

I want to read ‘The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.’

I want to see ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ and ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.’

I want a new watch. Metal.

I want to study again. Any course. Economics. Literature. Instructional Design. Anything.

I want to watch a play in a theatre.

I want to go see the Backwaters. (Want to see them for as long as I can remember.)

I want to let my hair grow longer-up to my waist.

I want to start wearing bangles again. (I used to have a HUGE fetish for them and have been off them for really long these days. 🙁 )

I want to eat authentic Bengali food.

I want to write a storyboard that doesn’t need a review.

I want to plant a tree and take care of it.

Note: This is NOT a Bucket List. Couldn’t be. It’s a list of those short term goals I have for myself. I’m going to make sure I do everything that’s on this list. Wish me luck! 🙂
